The Promise of Help (Isaiah 44:2)

Reflection:

Many in the world swear by their life that they would stand behind us but in reality a small misunderstanding can change the entire scenario and they disappear the very next second. The words of man can look enticing and without wisdom we fall for the words of Man. There is one promise that has stood the test of times and that is the Promise of God. It has not changed though we have changed every single day. Our Lord God is a promise keeper and he is our helper.  God has Chosen us and he will guide us through His Wisdom and His unfailing love on us.

Personal Story:

“Don’t worry Judah, I am standing right here” exclaimed Jake as they walked through a dark place. The moment there was a howling sound, before Judah can look towards his brother for help, Jake had already run away from that place. Many times we face similar situations in our life where we put our trust on certain assurances given out by men but end up searching for them in our moment of need.

Application:T

Today as we ponder over this question let us understand that the created things can change but our Creator never changes. He has been a faithful God who from time beginning has never  ever changed his Words. Let us learn to listen to God and the promises he has given in our life. Let us not deviate away from his promises but hold on to every word he has spoken in our life.

Call to Devotion:

Trusting in God takes faith. Nobody in our entire life knows us better than God. He has created us for his divine purpose and has given us His Word promising to help us. God knows when and where we need help. During our difficult times let us not look anywhere but look to the Lord alone.
