Foundation of His Blessings ( Matthew 7:24-27)

Reflection:

Many a times we hear a lot . However, to practise only what we hear we are selective. Today Jesus is calling us to not just be hearers but be doers of the word. Doing what his word requires us means irrespective of our likes and dislikes we do what it says. it takes keen and careful understanding of the word through the revelation God gives  and to walk  in obedience that we may flourish in our life through his Wisdom that comes by His word.

Joseph, through the trials in his life held on to the word of God. He didn’t slip due to the turns and the downsides that he went through, instead he chose to remain steadfast in his conviction towards God.

Personal Story :

On one fine evening, as I went for a walk with my two sons who were riding a scooter, I warned them about the dangers of speeding. My younger son was quick to ignore the warning and went past speedily. There was a metal cover on the walkway which he failed to see, and his scooter skidded on the metal cover, and he went tumbling down. Many times in our life we ignore the instructions and the warnings we receive from our Abba father and we wonder why we are in such a mess. We fail to understand that its our disobedience to the instructions that brought imbalance in the journey of Life.

Practical Application:

Are we ignoring the instructions that was given as warning signs.  Today let us not be carried away by the pressures of our daily life but understand  the Bible is God breathed. It guards our life and helps us not to slip away from the intended path God has prepared for us. Today, Let us identify the boundaries and continue to build our life with the word of God guiding us.

Call To Devotion :

We see the strong foundation of Spiritual sensitivity and personal conviction towards God,  lifting him to positions overcoming all obstacles. Today let us pray that we be sensitive to Gods word by obeying His word and taking a decision to build our life in the way God instructs us.
