Wisdom from Heaven (James 3:17)

Reflection:

The Wisdom that God gives is mercy, love for others, peace, consideration for others, Submission, Sincerity, Impartiality and righteousness whereas the earthly wisdom gives envy, jealousy, selfish ambition, earthly desires, disorders and evil. Today the world we live in depicts the example of what kind of Wisdom prevails and the reason for all the problem. As God’s Children what kind of Wisdom are we searching and exhibiting in our life. Let us remember that the fruits we produce shows the kind of wisdom we possess.

“The Bible teaches us that we are to forgive others as Christ has forgiven us and I had the privilege and opportunity of growing up in a Christian family,” said Glady’s Staines on forgiving the killers who had brutally killed her Husband, Graham Staines and their two sons Timothy and Phillip. Worldly wisdom teaches us take revenge but Heavenly wisdom gives us the strength to forgive and to be the Children of Peace.

Application:

True Wisdom is measures through a person’s Character. How do we act to situations that arises in our life depicts the true character we possess. Today let us ask God to remove the worldly wisdom because it leads us to foolish and disorder acts and to be filled with the heavenly wisdom for each one of us to be led in peace and goodness.

Call to devotion:

Today let us seek God for his Wisdom to fill us, so that we don’t react, speak and do as what the world does but stand above to speak the words of truth and conduct ourself in a worthy way through the Wisdom of God. Its never easy but ask God, only he gives us the strength to endure.
