A heart of Wisdom ( Psalms 90:12)
Reflection :
If we understand that our life on earth is temporary, we would be able to use our time wisely. Everyday as we wake up let’s ask ourselves this question, What does God want me to do today? When we ask this question, it helps us to understand that it’s with a reason God has given another day in our life and let us ask God for his Wisdom to run through the day for HIS will to be done through us.
Personal Story :
The Lord prompted Billy Graham to ask for what the Lord actually wanted Him to do. Billy could have refused to pray (and many do), but he would have missed a tremendous open door. The Lord does not usually give us a full roadmap in life. Rather, He usually leads us one step at a time. Billy Graham’s confidence soared after he spoke one day to a large group of teens at a local mission. He was asked to come back several times by the mission’s director. Billy even took it upon himself to start preaching on the street, and sometimes in front of seedy bars and rowdy saloons. And We all knew how Billy rose up for God to build God’s kingdom by being a preacher to millions of people during his lifetime. It takes us to take the first step through the wisdom of God.
Practical Application:
Let us live our life one day at a time. We all are familiar with the saying little drops of water make a ocean. Each day let’s start the day in the presence of God asking what does he want us to do and move accordingly to build one brick at a time in our life. Let us not look to a distant future and lose our focus but eventually making use of every day to fulfil God’s purpose when we obey and do his task.
Call to Devotion:
Today let us not waste time pondering but get down working through the wisdom God has given so that his perfect plan in our lives comes to pass.
