Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

As we move towards the blessed celebration of Pentecost Sunday, I invite you to join me on a transformative spiritual journey through our communal commitment of 50 days of prayer.

This period offers us an opportunity to deepen our relationship with the Holy Spirit and renew our faith.

During these days leading up to Pentecost, I encourage you to set aside intentional time each day for reflection and prayer.

Consider dedicating specific moments in your daily routine, whether it’s in the early morning quiet, during your commute, or perhaps before you rest at night, to open your heart to the Spirit’s guidance. Let your prayers be both a time of listening and speaking to God.

Reflect on the profound experience of the apostles and early followers who, gathered in prayer, were filled with the Holy Spirit. This divine encounter empowered them to proclaim the Gospel with joy and courage. Similarly, our prayers should be a request for the Holy Spirit to introspect our hearts, offering us renewed strength and purpose to live out our faith in daily life.

You might pray for a deeper understanding and appreciation of the gifts of the Spirit in your life. Perhaps you can dedicate time to intercession for others, seeking God’s blessings and peace for your family, community, and those in need around the world.

Feel free to join in church activities, such as prayer groups or discipleship reflections, which can offer support and encouragement throughout this journey.

Each day can be a step closer to embracing the wonders of Pentecost more fully in our lives.

I ask that as you pray, keep an open heart and mind, ready to receive the insights and inspirations the Holy Spirit provides. Trust in the Spirit as your constant companion and guide, leading you closer to Christ and one another.

I May these 50 days prepare us all for a joyful and spirit-filled Pentecost celebration.

With prayerful blessings,

Bobby Leonard
