-Philippe is in Macedonia city, more to European country
-Acts 16:1
[1]Then he came to Derbe and Lystra. And behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a certain Jewish woman who believed, but his father was Greek.
Acts 16:5-6
[5]So the churches were strengthened in the faith, and increased in number daily. The Macedonian Call
[6]Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia.

Philippians 1:1
[1]Paul and Timothy, bondservants of Jesus Christ, To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:
-written to the leaders in the church
-he writes as a servant of Christ
-saints are those who has been separated by god
Titus 1:4-5

1 Peter 5:1-4

[4]and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.
-peter encourages leader in the church
Philippians 1:2

1. Christ is our life

[17]Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.
2 Corinthians 8:1-4

[2]that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded in the riches of their liberality.

There is disunity in the churches

-Philippians church was wz Paul during his difficult days
Philippians 1:8
[8]For God is my witness, how greatly I long for you all with the affection of Jesus Christ.
-he gives thanks for what he is doing
Philippians 1:9
[9]And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment,
-he is praying for discernment for the Philippians
Philippians 1:10-11
[10]that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ,
[11]being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
-if we have discernment the fruit of righteousness will come n our life
-to make solid decision based upon wisdom from god
Increase the knowledge in Christ, we have to be focused on God and no offence of god. Filled wz the fruit of righteousness
Philippians 1:12
[12]But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel,
-its all gods will tht where i am now
Philippians 1:13
[13]so that it has become evident to the whole palace guard, and to all the rest, that my chains are in Christ;
Romans 8:28
[28]And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
-lots of things happened when Paul in prison
2 Timothy 2:9
[9]for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, even to the point of chains; but the word of God is not chained.
-although he is chains, gods words is being released
