The Authority of His Rule
Have you ever wondered who truly holds authority in your life? Is it your job, your circumstances, or even your fears? Today, we turn our eyes to Isaiah 9:6-7, where we discover the profound truth about the ultimate authority—Jesus Christ.
Isaiah proclaims, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government will be on his shoulders” (Isaiah 9:6). His names, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
This reveals His authority and desire to reign over every aspect of our lives. This authority is a protective, guiding rule that brings hope and peace, even in our darkest hours. As we recognize His sovereign rule, we see that His government never fails and His kingdom is everlasting (Isaiah 9:7).
So, how do we respond to His authority?

Lay down your burdens, your worries, and embrace His guidance.
Let Jesus reign in every corner of your life.
